MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
The park is located between the cliff of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. There are several different types of forests with a variety pf fauna - hippopotamuses, giraffes, elephants ( the highest density in Africa - 7 elephants/km2), lions sleeping trees, Zebras, monkeys and a profusion of birds (more than 380 species).
Best time: whole year.
How to get there: from Arusha, 3 hour drive or 1 hour charter flight.
Do not miss: The hippo pool to observe the ballet of birds and animals who come to
drink. The hot springs at "Maji Moto" and further south, the panoramic views of
the lakes and the endabash river.
